The Agenda for the February 7th Board of Supervisors meeting is now available. The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. at the municipal building, 433 Oakville Road, Shippensburg.

Find more information on the new trash program here. Residents are encouraged to complete and return the Trash & Recycling Collection Registration Form recently mailed to all residents by December 9th. Residents with questions regarding this new voluntary service may call the secretary at 776-7665.

North Newton Twp residents now have free disposal of up to 5 30-gallon bags of trash per week by taking them to the Cumberland County Landfill weekdays between the hours of 7 am & 3:30 pm and select Saturdays (call 423-9953 in advance for schedule). Must present a driver's license or identification with address at the scalehouse and be issued a landfill ID card.

The RECYCLING CONTAINERS at the municipal building are open 6 days a week. Closed on Sundays. See the Recycling & Refuse webpage for details on acceptable materials.

Vandalism has recently increased in the township. Road signs and personal property have been targeted. Residents are encouraged to remain vigilant and to report vandalism and any such action witnessed including license numbers to the PSP at 249-2121 or the Township Board of Supervisors at 776-7665. Charges will be filed for damage to township property.
